Is there other types of Slavery?
Yes there is!
Child Trafficking for Domestic
labor is one of them which it involves children mainly, but also
adults who are forced to work long hours for little pay and in
dirty conditions.
Child
domestic labor refers to situations where children are engaged to
perform domestic tasks in the home of a third party or employer that
are exploitative.
Whenever such exploitation is extreme - and includes
trafficking, slavery-like situations, or work that is hazardous and
harmful to a child's physical or mental health - it is considered one
of the worst forms of child labor.
Exploitation
in child domestic labor takes place because children have almost no
legal rights. "They invariably are deprived of the rights due to them
as children in international law, including the right to play, health,
and freedom from sexual abuse and harassment, visits to or from their
family, association with friends, decent accommodation, and protection
from physical and mental abuse
Often
times children are sold into slavery by poverty stricken parents with
no way to pay off their debts. Parents may be reluctant or even forced
into giving up their children and may even be set on getting them back
but these children are more often than not, lost causes. They are
forced to work and are punished when they don't perform to the highest
standards

Children,
once trafficked, are forced to perform such tasks as "camel jockeying,
child domestic labor, commercial sexual exploitation and prostitution,
drug couriering, child soldiering and exploitative or slavery-like
practices in the informal industrial sector
Child victims of trafficking
often come from poor families and lack economic and educational
opportunities. Children who have been separated from their families,
have minimal education, lack vocational skills or have few job
opportunities are most at risk. Child victims of trafficking often
experience mental and/or physical abuse by their traffickers. They
report feelings of shame, guilt and betrayal if the perpetrator was
someone that they trusted. Are Animals Trafficked?Yes!
According
to the UN, the illegal trade of wild animals for profit ranks as the
world’s third largest illicit activity behind drug and weapon
smuggling, while Interpol considers animal trafficking second only to
drug trafficking. Animals are taken from their natural habitats
and smuggled primarily to Europe, the United States and Asia for pets,
or for their skins and furs.
Almost most of animals
trafficked die before arrival and are subjected to cruelty.Animals have
their mouths and beaks taped shut, are restrained in dangerous
positions for hours, lying in their own waste. While many international
governments have joined CITES (the Convention on International on Trade
in Endangered Species), which helps to regulate wildlife trade, these
intentions often are inadequately funded and staffed.
